Sussman Honda Hosts Pinewood Derby

The Boy Scouts of Washington District, Pa., held their Pinewood Derby Grand Prix for Cub Scouts last weekend.

A Pinewood Derby demonstrates to the public how much time, work and creativity Cub Scouts put into the rectangular block of wood they are initially given. Cubs must learn to cooperate with scout leaders and parents to carve, chip, sand, glue and drill their way to a finished car that must meet specific limits and restrictions. 

Awards were given to the top three finishers along with awards for participation, the Best Cub Scout Drivers Costume, Conquers ‘d’ Elegance, Best of Derby, and Most Detailed Car.
