UM Harassment Suspect Arrested, Yanked From Car at Red Light

Upper Moreland Police arrest a man who has been charged with terroristic threats and harassment.

 

Yesterday afternoon, Upper Moreland Police arrested 22-year-old Upper Moreland Township resident Ayodele Oke, charging him with terroristic threats and harassment.

Upper Moreland Police Department (UMPD) reported that a frightened Upper Moreland resident contacted UMPD after Oke allegedly threatened to shoot the resident for failing to pay a $1,500 debt. UMPD further reported that the resident believed Oke was going to follow through with his alleged threat.

UMPD stopped Oke at the intersection of Moreland and Park avenues at about 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 28. Police were driving at least one unmarked police vehicle. 

An eyewitness account reports Oke being taken from a beaten up, green Honda Accord coupe, straight to UMPD headquarters
