Abington police said "almost immediately" after putting out a notice asking for the public's assistance in capturing the man, detectives received a "credible tip from a person who recognized the suspect," according to an Abington Police Department news release.

"Additional investigation was conducted and detectives were able to identify the suspect and obtain a warrant for his arrest," the news release states.

The invasion of privacy at the mall that sparked the investigation involved a "young female patron," the police department states, but authorities did not reveal the exact age of the victim. However, the unlawful contact with a minor charges suggests the victim was underage.
