Assault, Fraud Reported in Whitpain
Reports from the Whitpain Township Police Department.

Assault: Kristen Windle, 28, of the 1500 block of Skippack Pike, and Amber Pineda, 21, of the same address, were both arrested for simple assault and harassment after police were called to a fight on April 4 at 8:09 p.m.
Both parties allegedly advised police that what started as a verbal argument escalated to a physical fight with both sustaining minor injuries. Both women were taken into custody, and later arraigned by District Justice Robert Sobeck who released the two on their own recognizances.

Fraud: On April 7 at 10:50 a.m., a Whitpain Township resident reported that his TD Bank account had been compromised in the amount of $6,500. He reported that on April 3 someone withdrew the $6,500 from a TD Bank branch in South Carolina.
It was also discovered that on April 1, a deposit was made in New York in the amount of $15 which was also fraudulent. The incident was reported to TD Bank and the account was closed.

Recovered Stolen Property: On April 3, police were advised that a township resident located street signs in the wooded property behind The Limit, located at 1486 Skippack Pike.
The signs were recovered by police, and it was determined that they had been stolen from Montgomery County Community College. They were returned to the college.
