Avoid Spring House Intersection For Next 2 Weeks, Police Say
Significant delays are expected to continue in the coming weeks.

LOWER GWYNEDD, PA — Officials are asking drivers to avoid the Spring House intersection in Lower Gwynedd Township as construction work continues on one of the area's most crucial traffic hot spots.
"Major" work will be underway for the next two weeks, and police said that the Bethlehem Pike intersection with Norristown Road and Sumneytown Pike will be particularly backed up.
"While the Township has made all of the adjustments we can to improve traffic signal timing, major construction will cause delays during this time," Lower Gwynedd Township police shared. "Please be patient, we anticipate that travel through the intersection will improve within a few weeks."

The next phase of work involves the installation of stormwater management facilities on the Sumneytown Road side, continuing along Norristown Road. This construction is expected to be completed by the summer.
When completed, the improvements will include a widened Norristown Road and Sumneytown Pike, with additional through lanes in both the eastbound and westbound directions. New traffic signals, a concrete sidewalk, an improved trail, and ADA ramps will also be added.
