Butler Ave To Be Shut Down In Ambler For Train Crossing Work

The road crossing the train tracks on Butler Avenue hasn't been worked on in 12 years, officials said.

AMBLER, PA — Butler Avenue will be shut down in Ambler this month for road repairs at the train track crossing, authorities said.

The closure will be in place from 7 p.m. on Friday, April 26 through 7 p.m. on Monday, April 29. It will extend from Main Street to Maple Street.

The road crossing the tracks on Butler Avenue hasn't been worked on in 12 years, officials said.

SEPTA crews will remove and replace the existing surface and rails, install new track panels, and mill and repave roadway approaches.

Access to business and private property in the impacted area will not be blocked.
