Crash Brings Down Poles, Wires In Whitpain Township
Major roads are closed after the incident Monday afternoon.
WHITPAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Penllyn Blue Bell Pike has been shut down in Whitpain Township Monday afternoon after a major accident brought two telephone poles and wires down, authorities said.
The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m.
The road is closed between Skippack Pike and Stenton Avenue. Hoover Road has also been shut down at Valley Road.

Authorities said that it is "most likely to be an extended closure," and no estimate was given for when the road will reopen.
PECO crews are on scene making repairs.
