Dekalb Pike Widening Project Begins, From E. Norriton To Whitpain
The 3-mile stretch will see intermittent lane restrictions for at least the next year or so as it's widened and a bike lane is installed.
WHITPAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A nearly three-mile stretch of Dekalb Pike between East Norriton and Whitpain Township will see intermittent lane closures over the next year for various construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
The closures will be in place on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. between Township Line Road and Morris Road.
The work will go on throughout various parts of that stretch "through 2020," PennDOT said.

The road will be reconstructed and widened, and five-foot bicycle lanes will be installed in both directions. New traffic signals, sidewalks, drainage improvements, a sound wall, and box culverts are just some of the other improvements to be made.
Backups are expected, and motorists are advised to plan for additional travel time while work is ongoing.
