Monday Evening Traffic Snarled by Downed Power Line on Welsh Road
A fallen tree downed a power line on Welsh Road on Monday evening, causing major delays for rush hour commuters.
A downed power line near the intersection of Welsh Road and Stump Road forced the westbound closure of Route 63 during rush hour on Monday evening.
According to Patch Regional Editor Melissa Treacy, who was on the scene, it appeared as though a tree had fallen onto the power lines. She noted that there were muddy tire tracks to the right of the eastbound lane (heading toward Route 309), but there was no wrecked vehicle at the scene.
Treacy reported that the westbound lane had been completely shutdown, but traffic was slowly getting by on the eastbound lane.
