Drug Possession, Assault Reported in Whitpain

Drug Possession: Thomas Long, 29, of the 200 block of New Street, Norristown, was charged with drug possession on Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m., after an officer stopped the gold Ford he was driving for a license violation.
During the stop, the officer noticed the driver and passenger allegedly reaching around as if moving or hiding something. During a search, the officer located a baggie containing 31 narcotic pills that were not prescribed to anyone in the car, the report states.

Long will be charged by summons with possession of narcotics.
Assault: Turan Green, 27, of the 200 block of Carey Lane, Jeffersonville, was arrested for simple assault and garassment after he allegedly assaulted his wife at the Montgomery County Community College.

Police were called to the college by the victim who advised that she was involved in a fight with her husband and during the fight he kicked her and threw keys at her face, causing a tooth to break.
