Gwynedd Green Committee to Host Event on Sustainable Landscape Practices

Lower Gwynedd Township and the Gwynedd Green Committee will sponsor an interactive, educational, hands-on event to promote sustainable landscape practices that address storm-water runoff and promote water quality through the enhancement of the natural environment.

The event is scheduled for April 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Ingersoll-Claytor property, located behind the Lower Gwynedd Township building on Old Bethlehem Pike. 

Per the press release:

Learn what a rain garden is and how to design one on your property. Help to plant native shrubs, flowers and grasses. Talk to experts to learn what you can do to mitigate the impacts of stormwater runoff and implement sustainable practices to preserve water quality while creating natural habitats for birds, beneficial insects, pollinators and wildlife. Learn how to capture and reuse rainwater, compost and implement gardening conservation practices and more!
