'Kids Rock for the Homeless' This Saturday at Music Training Center
A group of local tweens and teens will host a benefit concert on Saturday night, with all money going to help combat homelessness in Montgomery County.
The Music Training Center in North Wales will play host to a benefit concert on Saturday night, which aims to combat the issue of homelessness in Montgomery County.
Orchestrated by 12-year-old Noah Kilshaw, who came up with the idea for his Bar Mitzvah community project, the concert will feature two bands playing everything from the Rolling Stones and Foo Fighters to Coldplay and Neon Trees.
Kilshaw's band, called "Pretentious", is comprised of three boys (Noah, Matt and Mike) and two girls (Julia and Amelia), all of whom are between 12 and 15 years old. They met one another at the Music Training Center, and have since played various venues in the area, including winning an award at World Cafe Live for best original song.

The second band, which is currently nameless, is comprised of an even younger group.
To date, nearly all tickets have been sold, and the event has already raised nearly $1,000, which will be donated to the Inter-Faith Housing Alliance in Ambler – the organization that runs the Hope Gardens shelter.
