Liberty Way 5K Brought Out 34 Runners to Inaugural Race

Liberty Lutheran's inaugural event raised awareness of the nonprofit's resources for individuals and families in life-changing situations.

The Liberty Way 5K brought out 34 runners to its inaugural event last Saturday in Ambler Borough.
The 3.1-mile race began and ended at Artman Lutheran Home at 250 Bethlehem Pike, a member of Liberty Lutheran Family of Services, winding through various Ambler neighborhoods.
First place went to Nicholas Gottemoller, 15, who finished at 20:45.

The purpose of the Liberty Way 5K was to raise awareness of nonprofit Liberty Lutheran's organization, programs and services, according to Alexandra Hackett of Liberty Lutheran.
The nonprofit social service agency provides resources to individuals and families in life-changing situations, such as independent and assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab and in-home support.
