Magazine Solicitors Sent Packing in Whitpain Township

A woman from St. Louis, a man from Memphis and another man from Virginia were either arrested or cited for soliciting without a permit in Whitpain Township last month.
Police said officers were called on Sept. 16 at 5:25 p.m. to a home on the 400 block of Holly Road for a report of a man soliciting magazine subscriptions door-to-door.
Raheem Kerns, 22, of Newport News, VA, was allegedly the one attempting to sell magazines, police said. Kerns was cited for solicitation without permission.
Two days later, police were called at 1:16 p.m. to the 400 block of Blue Heron Circle for individuals selling magazine subscriptions door-to-door, police said.
Arrested in this incident were Amber Alfred, 29, of St. Louis, MO, and Andre Galloway, 27, of Memphis, TN for soliciting without a permit, police said.
