MCCC Implements Tuition Hike

A tuition hike for Montgomery County Community College students will affect the 2013-14 school year's tuition.

A tuition increase faces students at Montgomery County Community College. According to a report in the Ambler Gazette, the tuition increases by $13 per credit hour and $5 per credit hour for the technology fee.

"Montgomery County residents will pay $153 per credit hour or $459 per three-credit course, bringing the annual cost for full-time students to $3,672" for students taking 12 credits a semester.

Funding for MCCC comes from the county, state and student tuition, with tuition comprising 55 percent of the annual operating budget.
