New Ambler Development Gets $504K In State Funding

The proposed 92-unit apartment complex in Ambler has received a major boon.

AMBLER, PA — The development in Ambler has received a major grant from the state for more than half a million,.

The Ambler Lakeview Development was awarded $504,754 in the latest round of grants from the Commonwealth Finance Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Fund.

"By investing in infrastructure improvements such as sidewalks, roadways, and pedestrian safety measures, we are not just enhancing the physical landscape of our communities, but also fostering safer and more accessible environments for all,” State Rep. Melissa Cerrato said in a statement. “Grants like these exemplify my commitment to promoting pedestrian safety and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents and visitors alike."

The Lakeview site is on North Maple Avenue, and this funding will go toward sidewalk and roadway work in that area.

Lakeview is a 92-unit multifamily residential project at the site of the former Keasbey and Mattison manufacturing facilities. Once final approvals are granted, construction is expected to begin this spring.
