Plymouth Officials Thank Ambler for Support During Officer Fox Tragedy

Plymouth officials attended the meeting to express their gratitude for the help.

Plymouth Township officials visited the March Ambler Borough Council meeting to thank the borough – and its police department – for helping the township when Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox was shot and killed in the line of duty in September.

On March 19, members of Plymouth Township Council, including Chairman Sheldon Simpson, Vice Chairwoman Lenora Bruno, Police Chief Joseph Lawrence and Township Manager Karen Weiss, attended the meeting to express their gratitude for the help.

"It was with the help of our neighboring boroughs and municipalities, such as Ambler and their police department, who sent their manpower over to protect the streets of Plymouth Township and our residents, [that we were able to] deal with our tragic loss," said Simpson.

According to Chief Lawrence, Plymouth Township has been visiting all of the municipalites that offered help during the tragic time.

“Plymouth has been attending, or trying to make everyone’s monthly meetings, to say 'thank you,'” Lawrence said.
