Southern Avenue Man Arrested for Suspicion of DUI in Upper Dublin

DUI: An Ambler man was arrested for suspicion of DUI in Upper Dublin Township shortly after midnight on April 1.

The report states that police observed Lurenzo Wise, of Southern Avenue, driving with his high beams on while traveling on Highland Avenue near Creek Avenue. Police then initiated a traffic stop.

According to police, Wise smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and found difficulty in answering simple questions. Police also discovered an empty 40-ounce bottle of malt liquor behind the front passenger seat, the report states.

Wise allegedly admitted to drinking, and failed a field sobriety test, police said. His blood-alcohol content was 0.142 at the time of the stop, according to the report.
