Water Main Break In Whitpain Township, Traffic Expected

WHITPAIN, PA — A water main broke in Whitpain Township late Monday, sparking lane restrictions and additional traffic Tuesday.

The incident occurred on Skippack Pike between Cathcart Road and Wagon Road.

The eastbound lane has been closed, so the entire road is limited to just one lane with alternating traffic in that stretch.

"Please use caution in the area and try to plan on using alternate routes for morning rush hour incase repairs are not completed yet," Whitpain Township police said.

North Wales Water Authority is on the scene working on the issue, though it's not yet clear when it will be resolved.
