What's Open and What's Closed on Columbus Day
School's in session Monday for Wissahickon School District and Gwynedd Mercy Academy.

Government: Lower Gwynedd Township, Whitpain Township and Ambler Borough are open. Montgomery County government offices and Bucks County government offices are closed.
Libraries: Wissahickon Valley Public Library is open.
Schools: Wissahickon School District is open. Gwynedd Mercy Academy is open.

PennDOT Drivers License Centers: PennDOT centers will be closed on Saturday, Oct. 12 and Monday, Oct. 14 for Columbus Day.
Banks: Columbus Day is a bank holiday.

Mail: USPS will not deliver mail on Monday, Oct. 14. UPS and FedEx will still deliver.
SEPTA: SEPTA will run on the regular weekday schedule for all services.
Liquor Stores: According to the PA Liquor Control Board website, most Wine & Spirits stores will be open for their regular Monday hours. However, some will have alternate holiday hours or be closed. Call ahead before heading out.
Zoo: The Philadelphia Zoo is open 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., The Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, is open 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
