Whitpain Declares Snow Emergency at 7 p.m.

Whitpain Township has declared a snow emergency, effective at 7 p.m. Thursday because of the anticipated heavy snowfall.
During a snow emergency, parking is prohibited on the township's snow emergency routes.
Township residents are encouraged to use off-street parking whenever possible to help Public Works Crews as they plow roadways.
Whitpain's snow emergency routes, according to the township website, include:
- Union Meeting Road - Route 73 to Township Line Road (South)
- Jolly Road - Unisys to Route 202
- Arch Street Road - Township Line Road (South) to Jolly Road
- Wentz Road - Jolly Road to Route 73
- Yost Road - North Wales Road to Route 202
- North Wales Road - Route 73 to Township Line Road (South)
- Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike - Stenton Avenue to Township Line Road (South)
- Narcissa Road - Township Line Road (South) to Route 73
- Cathcart Road - Morris Road to Township Line Road (North)
- Hoover Road - Union Meeting Road to Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike
- Mt. Pleasant Avenue - Morris Road to Railroad Avenue
- Township Line Road (South) - Narcissa Road to Butler Pike
