$2,190 in Jewelry Stolen At Ardmore Gym

Lower Merion Police Department reported the following incidents to news media at a Monday briefing. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.
Theft: Two silver and gold bracelets, valued at $1,295 and $895, were stolen from Philadelphia Sports Clubs while the victim was working out on Friday, police said. The victim put the bracelets in the pocket of her jacket, placed her duffle bag on top, and left the jacket in the workout area of the gym; she said the duffle bag was less than 20 feet away from her the whole time, police said. When she returned 40 minutes later, the bracelets were missing, police said.
Theft: A T-Mobile cell phone was stolen from a waiting room at Lankenau Hospital at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, police said. The complainant left his phone in the waiting room when he went to the bathroom, and returned to find it gone. A woman seen near the phone was questioned, and eventually admitted to taking the phone, police said; the complainant had his phone returned and did not wish to press charges.

DUI: A 44-year-old Wayne woman was cited for driving under the influence at 1:13 a.m. March 23 at the intersection of Montgomery Avenue and Winding Way in Merion Station, police said. The woman was driving well over the posted 25 mph speed limit, drifting from side to side, and when stopped appeared intoxicated, according to the report. When taken back to headquarters, the woman registered .205 on a blood alcohol content test, police said.
Theft: A black iPhone and case were reported stolen from the Saint Joseph’s University soccer field Sunday at 6:36 p.m., police said. There are no suspects.
