City Avenue Lanes Closing 24/7 For A Week: PennDOT
Crosswalk construction and line striping for the St. Joe's University pedestrian bridge project will force lane closures on City Avenue.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — The St. Joseph's University pedestrian bridge project is nearing completion, but some work is still scheduled and will affect traffic in the area.
According to PennDOT, crosswalk construction and line striping as part of the project is planned to impact traffic for a week's time.
Crews will be performing this work from Friday to May 30.

During that period, a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week lane closure is scheduled in both directions on City Avenue/U.S. Route 1.
The closures will be in place between Lapsley Lane and 59th Street in Lower Merion Township and Philadelphia.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur.
