LOWER MERION, PA — A Lower Merion High School tennis standout is in the running for a national publication's inaugural high school sports award's Boys Tennis Player of the Year.
Lower Merion's Vikas Miller is nominated for Boys Tennis Player of the Year in USA Today's first High School Sports Awards.
According to the Lower Merion School District, Miller's senior year saw him leading the team to a 24-0 season.

He also was instrumental in winning the Central League, District, and State team championships.
Additionally, he earned a pair of individual gold medals by winning the Central League and State singles championships.

USA Today will host its awards ceremony at 8 p.m. Aug. 5 online here.
The ceremony will be hosted by Michael Strahan and Rob Gronkowski.
