Lower Merion Citizens Police Academy Registration Opens
Space is limited, so register soon to get hands-on classroom lessons on how Lower Merion Police operate in the community.
LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township are once again inviting residents to join its Citizen Police Academy and learn how the department works.
The free academy is eight weeks long and will be held Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. between Oct. 5 and Nov. 30. Meetings will be held at the Lower Merion Police Department (71 E. Lancaster Ave. Ardmore).
Attendees will learn about various aspects of policing, including crime scene investigations, K9 units, traffic stops, crash investigations, use of force, forensic pathology, the criminal justice process and more.

Space is limited to 15 applicants, so reserve your spot quickly to ensure a seat in the program.
Use the form here to register and email back to police@lowermerion.org or pick up a hard copy at the police department.
Attendees must be 18 years of age or older. Residents of Lower Merion and surrounding communities are eligible to attend.

A graduation ceremony will be held on the final night where participants will receive a certificate of completion.
