Shootout With Police Lands DelCo Robbery Suspect In Hospital: Report

The shootout in Millbourne sent the robbery suspect to the hospital in critical condition. The officers were not injured.

A shootout with police Thursday night in Millbourne has landed a robbery suspect in the hospital, according to CBS3.

Police have reportedly stated a man in his 20s walked into a grocery store near 64th and Market streets at around 7 p.m., pulled a gun on the store owner, emptied the register and then left.

He was later stopped by police on his way to the 63rd Street station. According to the report, the man drew his gun on the Millbourne officers, who then fired on the suspect. He reportedly returned fire.

Eventually, the suspect threw his gun in a wooded area and was arrested. He was later taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition due to a gunshot wound.

The officers involved were not injured, according to the report.
