Celebrity Hair Stylist to Host Book Signing at Autograph Brasserie

You can judge a book by its cover, and you know it will be a good one when the title is 1,000 Questions Behind the Chair by local celebrity stylist Artur Kirsh.

Join Kirsh at Autograph Brasserie, 503 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 7 – 8:30 PM for small bites, bubbly, and the debut of his book. It’s not the therapist's couch, it is even more relaxing, it is your hairstylist's chair. While hair is being cut, colored, and styled, conversation flows like freshly blown-out tresses.

Kirsh, known for his unique vision and expert technique in the realm of cut and color, has achieved the stature of the elite premier professionals, earning a reputation as the preferred stylist among women of influence and taste including media personalities, celebrities, and fashion models.

Over the past year, Kirsh invited his clients to anonymously write a question, thought, or inspiration on a sticky note and leave it in a box. The questions range from humorous to salacious and everything in between. He said, “My inspiration was to create a book that you don’t have to read from cover to cover, something that was fun and that would create conversation and the opportunity to laugh out loud.” Kirsh said his inspiration for the book came from his clients, from the compliments, questions, conversations, and even some secrets he has heard over the years behind the chair.

With clients all over the globe, Kirsh currently spends time styling in Florida, and New York City as well as at his salon Artur Kirsh outside of Philadelphia. He has styled luminaries who range from local and national news reporters from all major networks to celebrities including New York Housewife Dorinda Medley, Betsy Johnson, Carolina Herrera, Celine Dion, Kathy Griffin, Nicole Miller, and Ken Downing. He has styled the supermodels of New York and Milan’s Fashion Weeks, the Chanel Trunk Show, Christian Louboutin Fashion Show, the Carmen Marc Valvo Fashion Show, and the Derek Lam Fashion Show. He continues to earn “Best of Philly” and “Best of Style” Magazine awards each year.
