Woman In Wheelchair Killed In Main Line Hit-And-Run, Charges Filed
Jamal McCullough turned himself in to authorities Monday in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash on City Avenue in mid-November.

BALA CYNWYD, PA — A Philadelphia man has been charged with several crimes in connection with a deadly November hit-and-run on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, Lower Merion Township Police said.
Jamal McCullough, 37, of Philadelphia, has been charged with accidents involving death, tampering with evidence, failure to notify police of an accident involving death, failure to render aid, and related crimes.
According to police, the deadly incident occurred at about 2:14 a.m. Nov. 11 at 5 W. City Ave. in Bala Cynwyd. Police said Tracey E Cary, 61, of Philadelphia, but was unhoused at the time of the crash, was found suffering from critical injuries.

Police said Carey used a wheelchair and was known to frequent the City Avenue corridor in Bala Cynwyd. Carey was ejected from her wheelchair in the crash, then was tended to by officers and Narberth Medics before being taken to Lankenau Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Lower Merion Police said they found the striking vehicle, a Toyota Camry, and identified the driver as McCullough.

McCullough was released on $50,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for a Dec. 11 preliminary hearing, court records show.
McCullough turned himself in to police Monday, authorities said.
