Driver, Vehicle Sought After Deadly City Ave Hit-And-Run
Lower Merion Police said the striking vehicle was a dark, four-door Toyota Camry that will have passenger side damage due to the strike.
BALA CYNWYD, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township released details and photos of the deadly hit-and-run that took a woman's life early Monday morning in Bala Cynwyd.
Police were called to 5 W. City Ave. in Bala Cynwyd at about 2:14 a.m. Monday for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
There, police found a 61-year-old, formerly of Philadelphia and unhoused at the time of the crash, suffering from critical injuries.

Police said the woman used a wheelchair and was known to frequent the City Avenue corridor in Bala Cynwyd.
The woman, police said, was ejected from her wheelchair when she was struck by what police say was a dark-colored four-door sedan Toyota Camry with heavy tint on all windows, with a probable Pennsylvania registration.

She was tended to by officers, then Narberth Medics before being taken to Lankenau Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the vehicle's driver was a black man with a medium build who was wearing a black Nike brand hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black shoes. The sweatshirt had a distinct logo on the chest reading “Just Do It” in large white script.
The striking vehicle will have damage to the lower passenger front bumper, passenger front quarter panel, and possibly the passenger side mirror. The vehicle may also have scratches along the length of the passenger side.
It was last seen speeding south on City Avenue.
