Guilty Plea Entered In Deadly Main Line Hit-And-Run
Jamal McCullough fatally struck Tracey E. Cary with a vehicle in November 2024 in Bala Cynwyd then drove off.

BALA CYNWYD, PA — The Philadelphia man accused of fatally striking a 61-year-old woman in a wheelchair in Bala Cynwyd entered a plea in court recently.
Jamal McCullough, 38, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty in a Montgomery County court to accidents involving death or personal injury Tuesday.
McCullough turned himself in to police in December 2024 in connection with the Nov. 11, 2024 Bala Cynwyd incident.

Killed was Tracey E. Cary, 61. Cary was unhoused at the time of the crash, but authorities said she lived in Philadelphia.
The crash happened at about 2:14 a.m. that day at 5 W. City Ave. in Bala Cynwyd.

Cary, who used a wheelchair and was known to frequent the City Avenue corridor in Bala Cynwyd, was found suffering from critical injuries.
She was ejected from her wheelchair in the crash, then was tended to by officers and Narberth Medics before being taken to Lankenau Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Days later, Lower Merion Police said they found the striking vehicle, a Toyota Camry, and identified the driver as McCullough.
McCullough is free on $50,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 23, 2026, court records show.
