ZONING HEARING BOARD ALTERNATE VACANCY

THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE TOWNSHIP IS SEEKING QUALIFIED RESIDENTS TO SERVE AS AN ALTERNATE TO THE ZONING HEARING BOARD (ZHB).  

When seated, an alternate shall be entitled to participate in all proceedings and discussions of the Board to the same and full extent as provided by law for regular Board members.  An alternate may participate in any proceeding or discussion of the Board but shall not be entitled to vote as a regular member of the Board nor be compensated unless designated as a voting member.  Experience in zoning or land use law is preferred.  A full description of the responsibilities of the ZHB can be found here:  Chapter 155-11.4   Zoning Hearing Board

Qualified individuals should complete the Boards & Commissions Application Form, which can be found here: Other Boards and Commissions | Lower Merion Township, PA
