Main Line Deli Closes Temporarily After Water Main Break, Flooding
Hymie's Deli had several feet of water in the basement after a water main break several weeks ago, according to a social media post.
MERION STATION, PA — A New York-style deli that has been operating for more than 65 years on the Main Line has temporarily closed, after a water main break flooded the restaurant's basement.
Hymie's Delicatessen in Merion Station announced it will be closed until at least Feb. 26, as more than five feet of water entered the basement at 342 Montgomery Ave.
Hymie's originally posted about the main break on Jan. 10, showing water gushing out onto the street, and later announced they would close for a time.
