Music Week Returns to New Horizons!
August 5 to 8, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM every day. Join New Horizons in Narberth for a Musical Extravaganza!

Come to New Horizons Senior Center at 100 Conway Avenue in Narberth from August 5 to August 8, and join us for a fun and engaging week of musically themed programs. Hear beautiful renditions of the Piano and experienced vocalists accompanied by guitar and other instruments, indulge in an hour of songs performed by an accomplished tenor, experience the joy of Jazz, and learn about the history of Elvis Presley, among other Events. From Jazz to Folk Music, Love Songs to Broadway, and much more, this eclectic week of American and International classics has something for everyone!

MONDAY, August 5

11:00 -- Elvis Presley- “King of Rock and Roll” : Join DJ Gerry Hebert and Music man Stan Fink to hear about the life and music of Legendary musician Elvis Presley during the time after his military service, including his 1968 Comeback Special where he proved he hadn't lost a step.

11:00 -- "Jeanette and Steve": A married acoustic duo. Steve is a jazz guitarist and vocalist. Jeanette rediscovered her singing voice through study and cabaret performance - telling stories through song. Their eclectic repertoire includes Pop, American Standards, Country, Folk and Blues.

THURSDAY, August 8
10:30 -- Brenten Megee, Tenor - “This Thing Called Love”: Brenten Megee, a celebrated local tenor, will be sharing a variety of love songs in different styles and categories. There will be songs about romance, brotherly love, and the meaning of love. Enjoy music from Mozart through Puccini, Broadway, and an Irish song or two. Let’s celebrate together, this thing called LOVE.

12:15 -- Dessert Social: August Birthday Party - Sunrise Senior Living Haverford, host: Olivia Dlugos
1:00 -- Krystiane Cooper - Vocalist and Ken Lovett Pianist: Krys Cooper and Ken Lovett will present a selection of old and new standards that celebrate the ups and downs of LOVE - including music by Arlen, Hammerstein, Sondheim and more. Come prepared to delight in songs you may already know and enjoy. Krys Cooper has performed as a professional soloist and chorister in Philadelphia over the past 25 years with groups including the Philadelphia Singers, Philomusica, Northeast Oratorio Society, Voices at Play, and many local churches
New Horizons will be open from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM daily from August 5 to August 8. All programs are FREE and lunch is served every day at Noon at the Center, while pianist extraordinaire Bonnie Fay entertains diners daily. (Please sign up for lunch by Wednesday, July 31, at Noon.)
