No New Developments In November Cynwyd Trail Incident: Police
A woman was found injured and suffering from cold exposure on the Cynwyd Heritage Trail in mid-November. The investigation is still ongoing.
BALA CYNWYD, PA — More than a month and a half after a woman was found injured and suffering from cold exposure on the Cynwyd Heritage Trail, Lower Merion Police have no new information to release.
When asked for new information on the investigation, township authorities did not provide any further details.
The investigation began after a jogger told police they found a possible "homeless person" laying along the trail near the Manayunk Trail Bridge at about 5:46 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14.

A 42-year-old woman from Manayunk was found suffering from injuries to her head and body and has been exposed to the cold, police said.
Lower Merion Police Sgt. Michael Kenan told Patch in late November that details on the incident are sensitive as the investigation progresses.

However, he did say the victim was not on the trail for recreational purposes and are looking to learn what led to her being on the trail.
Police have been reviewing camera footage from the trail and the bridge to learn more about what happened Tuesday. Despite that, they are unable to provide any information on people potentially involved in the incident.
Kenan said trail users should stick to well-lit areas, use the trail with other people when possible, carry a cell phone, inform others of when they leave and when they plan to return, and dress for the weather.
