Rape Investigation Underway After Woman Found On Lower Merion Trail
Police said a 42-year-old Manayunk woman was found naked and unconscious the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 14 on the Cynwyd Heritage Trail.
BALA CYNWYD, PA — A rape investigation is underway after a woman was found injured in the Cynwyd Heritage Trail about two weeks ago.
According to Lower Merion Police, a 42-year-old Manayunk woman was found at about 5:46 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 on the trail near the Manayunk Trail Bridge.
A jogger spotted the woman, who was suffering from injuries to her head and body and was exposed to the cold, police said.

Now, police said the woman was unconscious and unclothed when she was found and have described the situation as a forcible rape.
She was taken to Lankenau Medical Center for treatment. Her condition is unknown.
