Patrick Coyle was crossing the northbound (Philadelphia-side) lanes of City Avenue near his Presidential Apartments home early Tuesday morning when he was hit, according to NBC-10, by a car that was immediately driven away from the scene. Philadelphia police are investigating the identity of the driver, according to the report.

The 50-year-old Philadelphia man died early Tuesday, NBC-10 reported.
