Theft Reported at Baldwin High School

The incident marked the second Mongoose BMX bike theft reported in Whitehall in four days.

A young man came into the Whitehall Borough police station at around 1:45 p.m. on Aug. 13 to report that his orange Mongoose BMX bicycle was stolen that day, Whitehall police Chief Donald R. Dolfi said.

The bike was chained to a fence on Baldwin High School property, the man told police. The bike—its value is unknown at this time—had black spokes and pegs on its front and back tires.

Police checked with Baldwin High security guards, but they did not report seeing anybody take the bike, Dolfi said. The guards will review surveillance video, as the incident is under investigation.
