These 3 Places Are Cool Right Now

With a heat index in the mid-to-upper 90s, it's smart to take your family to a cool place.

Here are three local spots to beat the heat:

1. Baldwin Borough Swimming Pool:
If you don't have a pass, daily admission is $6, or $3 after 4 p.m.


2. Whitehall Public Library:
Stop in for Game Day for Adults from 12 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 or the Matinee in the Cafe from 1:15 to 4 p.m. on Friday, July 19. Or just browse through the books in the air conditioning.

3. Go Bowling:
Check out Princess Bowling Lanes on Weyman Road. Daytime open bowl is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and costs $3.
