6 Injured In Bensalem House Fire

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Six people have been taken to area hospitals in a house fire Monday morning in which the second floor collapsed, fire officials said.

The Bensalem Township Fire Rescue Department said fire investigators are on the scene of the structure fire on Merganser Way.

Six occupants of the home were transported by EMS to local hospitals, fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department said companies were dispatched to the home, which was showing smoke.

Fire officials reported that the home's second floor collapsed and that a collapse zone was established.

The Levittown Fire Company No. 2 said that just before 5:30 a.m. Monday that Rescue 13 was transmitted with the Newport Fire Company for a reported dwelling fire.

Multiple occupants in the home were all transported to area hospitals with their conditions unknown.
