Bucks Man Named Outstanding Cadet at Trooper Academy
Robert Richter, of Holland, was assigned to the state police troop that has a station in Trevose.

Cadet Robert D. Richter Jr., of Holland, was chosen as the best of 131 men and women who graduated from the State Police Academy in Hershey on April 1.
Richter was named the outstanding cadet by his classmates and instructors, receiving the American Legion Award.
Richter could be stationed locally. He was assigned to Troop M in Bethlehem along with 14 other cadets. Troop M is headquartered in Bethlehem and has stations in Belfast, Dublin, Fogelsville and the .

"In years to come, you will look back on this day as the moment you became something bigger than yourselves," Gov. Tom Corbett said in a speech to the graduates. "You join a force with more than a century of history. I salute your willingness to take on this calling. You are that part of government we want."
