Morning Rain, Wind Blow Through Bensalem

Gusts of 50 mph and hail associated with showers.

Did you hear the rain and wind around 6:30 a.m.?

According to a special weather statement by the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, Doppler radar indicated a large mass of showers passed through Bucks and Montgomery counties and surrounding areas at that time moving 45 mph.

The showers were accompanied by 50 mph wind gusts and small hail.

Here’s the forecast for the next few days:

Today: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Temperature falling to around 50 by 5pm. Breezy, with a southwest wind 21 to 23 mph becoming northwest. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 34. West wind between 8 and 13 mph.

Wednesday: A slight chance of rain after 2pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 59. West wind between 8 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of rain, mainly after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. West wind between 5 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 59. North wind around 9 mph.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 43. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
