State Upgrade Megan's Law Sex Offender Website
Features make it easier for public to locate registered sex offenders. A search in Bensalem yielded 55 offenders.

In February, made improvements to Pennsylvania's Megan's Law website that make it easier for the public to find information about registered sexual offenders in the state.
"The site's new features enhance the user's ability to determine whether someone in their neighborhood is a registered sex offender," acting State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan said in a release. "Parents and others can use this information to help protect themselves and their families."
Noonan said the site includes a radius-search function that allows the user to enter an address; establish a search radius; and query the system for a map and list of offenders in the area. Users also can search for sexual offenders using drop-down lists of municipalities and counties.
