Trevose Troopers Report Accidents, Drunk Driver
Crashes occurred 15 minutes apart on I-95. Drunk driver was from Doylestown.

Over the last couple days, responded to the following incidents:
Two Crashes
On April 11, state police responded to back-to-back accidents on I-95 northbound at Exit 46. The first crash occurred at 3:50 p.m. It was caused when a vehicle driven by Christopher Glennie, 18, of Fallsington, Pa., was entering the highway on a ramp from southbound Route 1. Glennie lost control of his vehicle, which struck another vehicle driven by Irina Stolyarova, 42, of Philadelphia, causing it to flip over. Stolyarova was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for unknown injuries by Penndel Middletown Rescue. Glennie was cited for careless driving. Trooper Joseph Irwin investigated this accident.

The second crash, involving three vehicles, happened 15 minutes later in backed up traffic caused by the previous accident. It was caused when a vehicle driven by Cecilia Virzi, 45, of Ewing, N.J., was entering the center lane of I-95 from the right lane. She struck vehicle which then struck another vehicle. Virzi was transported to St. Mary’s with a minor chest injury. No other injuries were reported. Virzi was cited for a lane violation.

On April 12 at 1:24 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Philip L. Gasper, 23, of Doylestown, on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 for speeding. He was found to be intoxicated, given a blood test, processed and released. He will receive a summons for DUI.
