Troopers Report Assault, Accidents, Casino Incidents

Individuals from Levittown, Bensalem, Langhorne and Philadelphia were involved.

Between March 20 and March 23, state police from the responded to the following incidents:

On March 20 at 5:28 a.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on I-95 at Exit 44. Police said Daniel O’Leary, of Levittown, was traveling north when he fell asleep. His vehicle left the roadway, struck a wooden sign post and a light post. No injury was reported. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On March 21 at 10:36 a.m., state police responded to a two-vehicle accident on I-95 at milepost 49.8. Police said that Giselle Day, 34, of Bensalem, was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway when her 2002 Honda Accord struck a Toyota 4Runner head on. Day and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center with serious injuries. Two passengers in the 4Runner were also taken to the hospital with injuries. Police said alcohol may have been involved in the crash. Trooper Craig Acord investigated the incident.

On March 22 at 3:09 a.m., state police investigated a simple assault in the 300 block of Winchester Avenue in Langhorne. Police said Charles Diller, 91, of Langhorne, struck another elderly man in the face with an open hand. The victim sustained a laceration on his forehead. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Dung Martinez.

On March 22 at 12:30 a.m., state police cited Gerald Thomas, 31, of Levittown, for entering Parx Casino while on the self-exclusion list. Trooper Dung Martinez investigated the incident.

On March 21 at 12:54 a.m., state police responded to a reported theft by deception at Parx Casino. Police said Tien Fu Chen, 49, of Philadelphia, attempted to cap his bet while playing three-card poker. He was informed that bet capping was illegal and escorted from the casino. Trooper Dung Martinez investigated the incident.

On March 23 at 6:01 p.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle accident at the Durham Road overpass of I-95. Police said Alexa Kloos, 19, of Levittown, was traveling eastbound on Durham Road when her vehicle drove through the metal fencing on the right side of the roadway. The vehicle fell 60 feet to the guardrail of northbound I-95. Bristol Rescue transported Kloos to St. Mary’s Medical Center with moderate injuries, police said. Trooper Joseph Krut investigated the incident.
