Troopers Report Theft, Drunk Driving, Resisting Arrest

There were thefts at the Park & Ride, incidents on I-95 and more at the casino.

Between March 23 and March 27, state police from the responded to the following incidents:

On March 23 at 7:35 p.m., a 54-year-old man from Yardley told state police that his license plate was stolen from his vehicle at the Cornwells Heights Park & Ride. The incident was investigated by Trooper Joseph Krut.

On March 25 between 9:35 a.m. and 2 p.m., someone stole the catalytic converter from a Philadelphia man’s 2008 Ford F350 at the Cornwells Heights Park & Ride. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Trooper J. Irwin at (215) 942-3900.

On March 26 at 3:07 a.m., state police stopped Quaadir Malik Gurley, 21, of Trenton, for speeding on I-95 near Street Road. He was found to be intoxicated. He was given a blood test, processed and released. He will receive a summons. Trooper John McIlhinney investigated this incident.

On March 26 at 10:36 a.m., state police stopped Michael Rivera and Jade McIntyre, both 19 of Philadelphia, for traffic violations at Exit 35 from I-95. Rivera fled the scene and McIntyre lied to police regarding Rivera’s identity. Rivera was apprehended a short time later by Bensalem police and canines. Rivera was charged with fleeing, eluding, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and multiple traffic offenses. McIntyre was charged with hindering apprehension and permitting an unauthorized person to drive. Rivera was lodged in Bucks County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail and McIntyre was released on $10,000 unsecured bail. The are scheduled for preliminary arraignments on April 5 at 9 a.m. before Judge Leonard Brown. Trooper Carrie Gula investigated this incident.

On March 27 at 3:40 a.m., state police said a man sold a 36-year-old woman from Staten Island, N.Y. was duped into buying three winning scratched lottery tickets worth over $500 for $260. When she attempted to cash the tickets, she was told that they were already cashed. Police are looking for a white male, 5’7”, 160 pounds, wearing brown pants and shirt and a baseball cap.
