None Hurt In 'Serious' Bryn Mawr House Fire Thanks To Smoke Detectors, Officials Say
A family living at Old Gulph Road and Craig Lane was alerted to a fire in a first-floor bedroom by smoke detectors, officials said.
BRYN MAWR, PA — Fire officials credit smoke detectors after no one was hurt in what was described as a "serious" house fire in Bryn Mawr Thursday.
Crews were first called to a home at Old Gulph Road and Criag Lane at about 3:11 p.m., according to information from the Montgomery County Emergency Operations Center.
Lower Merion Fire Department Chief James McCoy told Patch the fire started in a first-floor bedroom of the home.
