Chestnut Hill Tree Planting Event Set For April 22

Tools and training will be provided, so all you need to bring is a good work ethic and a love of the environment.

If you love the outdoors and want to see more trees in the Chestnut Hill area, clear your calendar for April 22. A community tree planting event will be held on residential streets in the Chestnut Hill area, courtesy of The Green Space Initiative's Re-Tree Chestnut Hill project.

The second neighborhood tree planting from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at the Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting House parking lot, 20 East Mermaid Lane, Philadelphia.

Tools and training will be provided, so all you need to bring is a good work ethic and a love of nature!

Interested parties should contact Rose Johnson at rlj1311@aol.com or call the Chestnut Hill Community Association office at (215) 248-8810 to help with the tree planting.

Applications for free street trees are available now for the fall planting, too. Anyone interested in a fall tree should contact Mary Ann Boyer at maboyer61@gmail.com.
