Free Concert
Where/When: Thursday, July 11, 2013, 7 p.m., Mount Airy Train Station, 7423 Devon St, at Gowen Ave, Philadelphia
Why Go: I'll let concert organizers describe it: "Fresh from their triumphant Mount Airy Home Companion Show over Memorial Day, the band Saint Mad will present a free concert showcasing: their unique arrangements using euphonium, trumpet, electric piano, guitar and some surprses: great voices and superb harmonies: and wacky sense of humor. They are sure to entertain. This concert is outdoors, bring a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic. Raid date (though we fully hope to not need one) is same time and place on Friday July 12.:

Staged Reading
Where/When: Friday, July 12, 2013, 8 p.m. The Stagecrafters theater, 8130 Germantown Ave.
Why Go: The Stagecrafters will perform a reading of the play "The Church Bells All Were Broken," which is a satirical look at the family that started the Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas. The reading will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday
Pricing: Pay what you will. Reservations are accepted.
Flea Market
Where/When: Saturday, July 13, 2013, 9 a.m. Mount Airy Train Station, 7423 Devon St, at Gowen Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19119
Why Go: I'll let the organizers describe it: "We already have nearly 15 different vendors signed up to bring stylish clothing, home grown plants, Cd's and who knows what else. Always full of surprises, fun and getting to visit with friends and neighbors. Plenty of room for additional vendors. Just call us at 215-242-0854 to hold a spot- $10 fee.
