Free Concert: I'll let the organizers describe it: "Settlement Music School’s Germantown branch will present a free concert and art exhibition on Tuesday, July 30, at 7 p.m. The concert will feature performances by students participating in summer programs at the branch. The art exhibit is part of Settlement’s collaboration with Allens Lane Art Center and features works by Ernie Koch. A reception will follow the concert to meet the performers and artist. The Germantown branch is located at 6128 Germantown Avenue, and limited free parking is available."
Free Financial Seminar: Edward Jones Financial Advisor Larry Daniels is hosting a free financial seminar designed to help you and your family save for college fees. Call 215-242-2402 to RSVP for this event happening at Edward Jones Investments, 7151 Germantown Avenue. The seminar begins at 6:30 p.m., on July 30.
This day in history: On July 30, 1729, the city of Baltimore was founded where it would quickly become home to terrific crime fiction and disappointing baseball. Also, on July 30, 1965, Lyndon Johnson signed the Social Security Act of 1965, creating Medicare and Medicaid.
Traffic: Need to know what's what for your commute? Check out the PennDOT traffic cameras.
Weather: Tuesday's expected to be a lot like Monday, and that's a good thing. Forecasters call for temperatures to be warm, but the humidity will be low.
