Israeli Folk Dancing: From the organizers: "The Germantown Jewish Centre Israeli dance group meets on Wednesday nights from 7- 9 PM from July 24-August 28. Their repertoire consists mainly of intermediate dances, though we always begin with easier, older dances. There is an emphasis on instruction and review in the earlier part of the session. We are an informal, friendly group, and always welcome new dancers! $5 per session. For more info contactprogram@germantownjewishcentre.org or 215-844-1507 Ext 19."

This day in history: On July 24, 1847 Bringham Young led 148 Mormons to what is now Salt Lake City, where they promptly almost died if not for the actions of some very hungry birds.
